Doulas are so under appreciated but when I got the chance to snatch LB up let me tell you she’s so incredible in every single way. She calmed me, and cared for me. She helped me and stood by my side during the whole entire process. Took pictures, videos, and was just there for every precious moment. Even now I still have her in my life and I don’t know what I would do without her. I would one thousand percent recommend this beautiful lady, I promise you she is a god sent. “I never thought about using a doula until after my first child was born and I met Laura Beth. The more I got to know her and talked about what a doula did, I knew I wanted her by my side. Unfortunately, my second child was born during the Covid pandemic and she was not allowed to accompany us in the hospital. But that didn’t stop her from helping us come up with a birth plan and teaching me how to advocate for myself in the hospital. She helped me with all of my questions and came to our house after we brought our son home to help transition us. I knew I would use her if I were to ever get pregnant again.”

“In just a few weeks is a very special date, it’s when I met Laura Beth. We met through a mutual friend, and I honestly couldn’t have been more blessed and gifted. I had no idea even after 3 pregnancies things that weren’t right during labor and what were. She helped guide me and honestly was my best friend. I never knew what a doula was really until her. She provided the best care, was such a huge part of my pregnancy and labor. She was on call for me anytime and she just helped me physically, mentally, and emotionally. not just during my pregnancy, or during my labor; but even after I brought Enzo home. “I wanted Laura Beth to be my doula for my third child’s birth. My plan was to have a vaginal birth and to labor on my own for as long as I could because I did not do that for my other two children. I was confident that I could give birth without drugs and with the right support. During my 34th week, baby flipped breech. Laura Beth gave me a list of exercises to try and flip baby back to head down. She meet with me a few times a week to encourage me and get me in more comfortable positions. Laura Beth and I came up with a birth plan with different scenarios, in case the doctor was successful on flipping the baby before attempting a c-section. She also educated me on what to expect if I were to have a c-section. The day of induction, Laura Beth met us at the hospital and asked the nurses a lot of questions. More than I would have known to ask. Unfortunately, they only allowed one other person to go with me into the OR as they attempted to flip the baby. They were unsuccessful and we ended up doing a c section. Laura beth was waiting in our room as we were wheeled back in. She gathered a lot of information from the nurses and advocated for me when I wasn’t feeling myself and something was noticeably wrong. She educated my husband on things to look for when she wasn’t around. She was amazing and very respectful of giving us space to bond and not overstepping in any way. She helped me established breastfeeding and help create a bond between the baby and us before visitors started popping in. So thankful to have had her by my side during that experience. Mentally, I was not ready for a c section and she kept me in check and was my sounding board during my healing process.”

She knew exactly what to do to help me relax and was hugely helpful in taking anxiety out of my experience. She stayed by my side the entire time, even being around 8 months pregnant herself. “My oldest passed away 6 months after my second child was born. We knew that one day it would happen because he had a rare genetic disorder. She helped me in ways I didn’t know I needed. My husband reached out to her when he was actively passing and she was there. She stayed in the background but was always in reach. She took precious pictures of moments that we hold dear to our hearts. She video taped our last memories together. She held his body while the funeral home came to our home to prepare to take him away. She checked in after the noise stopped. Helped with anything that we needed. She was/is my saving grace during the hardest moment of my life. She is a blessing! She turned something so tragic and help us see the beauty and comfort to say goodbye to him. I would have regretted not calling her after what I know now. “
